These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Crafty Women website.
By using this website or placing an order you agree to the terms set out below.
1. About Crafty Women
Crafty Women is a collective of independent artists who sell handmade work through this website.
The website provides a platform through which participating artists can sell their work directly to customers.
Crafty Women manages the website, payment processing and order coordination on behalf of the artists.
2. Products
All products listed on this website are handmade by independent artists.
Because handmade work is unique:
- small variations in colour, texture, size or finish may occur
- photographs are provided for illustration and may vary slightly depending on screen settings
These variations are part of the character of handmade work and do not constitute faults.
3. Availability
All artwork is subject to availability.
In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will contact you to arrange either:
- a refund, or
- an alternative item if available.
4. Pricing
All prices are shown in British Pounds (GBP).
Prices include VAT where applicable but do not include delivery costs unless stated.
Delivery costs will be shown at checkout.
Crafty Women reserves the right to change prices at any time, but this will not affect orders already placed.
5. Payments
Payments are processed securely through SumUp.
We do not store your payment card details.
By completing a purchase you agree to the payment terms of the SumUp payment platform.
6. Order confirmation
After placing an order you will receive an email confirming the details of your purchase.
This email confirms that your order has been received but does not constitute acceptance of the order.
Acceptance occurs when the item is dispatched.
7. Delivery
Delivery times may vary depending on the artist and location.
Typical delivery times will be indicated where possible but are estimates only.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided is correct.
Crafty Women and participating artists are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or courier providers.
8. Shipping responsibility
Orders will be shipped by:
- the individual artist who created the work.
Packaging will be appropriate to protect the artwork during transit.
9. Returns and refunds
Customers have the right to return most purchases within 14 days of receiving the item under UK consumer law.
To request a return please contact us before sending the item back.
Returned items must:
- be unused
- be in their original condition
- be securely packaged
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or damaged.
10. Damaged items
If an item arrives damaged please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs of the damage and packaging.
We will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.
11. Intellectual property
All artwork, images, text and design on this website are protected by copyright.
The copyright remains with the artist unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute or commercially use any artwork or images without permission from the artist.
12. Limitation of liability
Crafty Women provides this website and marketplace platform in good faith.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crafty Women shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential losses
- delays caused by shipping providers
- loss or damage arising from misuse of purchased items
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

The website may contain links to external websites including artists’ own sites or social media pages.
Crafty Women is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.
14. Privacy
Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected and used.

The latest version will always be available on this page.
16. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from the use of this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
17. Marketplace and artist responsibility
Crafty Women operates as a collective platform for independent artists to present and sell their work.
Each artwork listed on the website is created and supplied by an individual artist. While Crafty Women manages the website, payment processing and order coordination, the artist remains responsible for:
- the creation and quality of the artwork
- the accuracy of product descriptions
- the safe packaging of the item for delivery
Crafty Women acts as an intermediary between the customer and the artist and will assist in resolving any issues relating to orders.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits the statutory rights of consumers under UK consumer protection law.
