This page explains how delivery, returns and refunds work when purchasing artwork from Crafty Women.


1. About Crafty Women orders

Crafty Women is a collective of independent artists.

All items sold through this website are created by individual artists.

Orders are shipped directly by the artist who created the work, rather than from a central warehouse.


2. Shipping location

At present we ship within the United Kingdom only.

Orders with delivery addresses outside the UK cannot currently be accepted.


3. Order processing

Artists normally dispatch orders within 3–5 working days.

Because all items are handmade and dispatched individually, dispatch times may vary slightly between artists.

If there is any delay we will contact you.


4. Delivery

Orders are typically shipped using:

  • Royal Mail, or
  • a courier service depending on the size or fragility of the artwork.

Typical UK delivery times after dispatch are:

2–5 working days

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the postal or courier service.


5. Packaging

Artists package their work carefully to ensure safe delivery.

Packaging may include protective wrapping, reinforced boxes and additional cushioning materials for fragile items.


6. Your right to return

Under UK consumer law you have the right to cancel and return most online purchases within 14 days of receiving the item.

To request a return please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

Items must then be returned within 14 days of notifying us.

Returned items must:

  • be unused
  • be in their original condition
  • be securely packaged

7. Return shipping

Unless an item is faulty or damaged, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost during return shipping.


8. Damaged items

If an item arrives damaged please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • photographs of the item
  • photographs of the packaging
  • your order number

We will review the issue and arrange a refund where appropriate.


9. Refunds

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will process your refund.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Please allow 5–10 working days for the refund to appear depending on your bank.

Original shipping costs are only refunded if the item was faulty or damaged.


10. Non-returnable items

The following items may not be eligible for return unless faulty:

  • custom or commissioned artwork
  • personalised items
