Description
This layered kiln-fused glass artwork depicts a stag standing deep within a misty woodland.
The piece is constructed from seven layers of glass, carefully stacked to build depth within the landscape. Five layers are hand painted with Dove enamels in peacock green hues, forming the tree trunks and soft atmospheric forest floor.
During firing, the layers fuse together into a single solid glass panel while preserving the subtle tonal variations between layers. The result is a luminous image where the stag appears quietly within the trees.
After firing, the piece is hand polished to create smooth edges and a refined finish.
The cool peacock palette gives the work a tranquil, misty atmosphere reminiscent of early morning woodland light.
Because each piece is painted and assembled by hand, every panel has its own subtle character.
Each piece is individually handmade, so slight variations in tone and texture are part of the character of the work.
Perfect for display on a shelf, windowsill or illuminated surface where the glass can interact with changing light.
